Installation of Software and Drivers for Fidelity Bank Remote Deposit Capture Scanner

  1. It is recommended to use one of the following browsers:
  2. If you are using Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) for the first time, please do not install your scanner until step 10. Skip to step 4 to continue the process.
  3. If you are using a scanner that is/was linked to another bank’s RDC service, please power off the scanner, disconnect the USB cable from the PC, and unplug the power cord from the back of the scanner. You will connect it in step 10. Please follow these steps to uninstall the other bank’s RDC software files:
    • Search in “Computer” under ‘Programs‘.
    • Uninstall any programs with the name ‘Remote Deposit’.
    • Remove the software already installed.
  4. Create a folder on your desktop and name it ‘Fidelity Bank’.
  5. Click on the ‘Download Scanner Drivers’ button below or click here to open Smartsource.zip.
  6. Click ‘Select All’ and then ‘Download’.
  7. Save the files to the new ‘Fidelity Bank’ folder on your desktop.
  8. Open the folder once the download is complete and ‘Extract All’ the files. This download can take up to 15 minutes. It will prompt you when the installation is complete.
    • Install the driver:
      • Fiserv_SHIP_RangerForSmartSourcePVA_Elite_4.9.0.1-2.0.41.5_RR_v2.2.1.7_nl
  9. Attach the scanner cords to your computer and power it on to allow the drivers to download/update, and then reboot your computer. If the scanner is an Elite multi-feed scanner, be sure to install the ink cartridge in the scanner.
  10. Login into Fidelity Business Online Banking via www.bankatfidelity.com as usual and navigate to ‘Checks & Deposits’, then select ‘Deposit Checks’, to launch the RDC dashboard.
